Catherine Linton, a young woman who, only months before had suffered of her parent’s deaths, was not expecting to uncover another mystery of her own. Taking a drive to an old abandoned shack on land she rented out to a family friend, she was only practicing target shooting, and was clearly surprised and scared at what she found. a body of a murdered and beaten woman lay in the shack. Catherine not only finds out that she has personal connections to the woman through her father, but also that the murder may be connected to her own parents ‘accidental’ car crash. As Catherine learns more on the case, she realizes that her own life may be in danger as well as her close friends around her. Catherine suspects everyone, and learns to trust no one. Not only is there a murder mystery, but it includes characteristic of a small town girl that are hard to resist.

Sweet and Deadly was a great book, and defiantly a page turner. I found myself wanting to read this book and never set it down. It’s a fast, satisfying read that won’t disappoint you in a good story line. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good book.
