Alphas is a book about being the best you can be and going to an academy for it. You can be a singer, inventor, actress, model, chef, dancer, or an artist. 100 people have been selected and only one will be the head Alpha. The three main characters are Skye Hamilton, trying to get impressed by the judge, make her way to the top, blonde, and a dancer; Allie A. Abbott, going in as Allie J the singer, giving people a run for their money and being very shy while doing it; Charlie Deery, just made it in under one condition, break up with her boyfriend. Will Charlie do it? People also think she is a spy. Is she really? Lisi Harrison puts all their thoughts in the book and actually every chapter or two she puts it in the other girl’s perspective. This book could be real, but, the place they are at is all made up. IN the book there are a few rules to get to be the Main Alpha and if you don’t follow the rules you are OUT!!!  You do get lots of outfits (any kind you want) a cell phone device that tell you about everyone else, and BOYS!!!???
I really like the book Alphas because the story is in different points of view. The only thing that really goes against the book is there are many characters in the book. I had to write down everyone’s name on a card and remember that way. IT WORKED!!!Just 16 people they repeat again and it gets a bit confusing but the card does help. Otherwise the book is very good and can be a Situational Irony. I recommend this book for girls since it is a girl book, also for people who can remember names easily and like the kind of book that could be real but yet not.
