The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks was a very touching read that showed me that love is timeless and ageless. The book is told by the letters that were sent to Allie from Noah to show his love for her. Noah and Allie were brought together by friends and they really hit it off and surely were in love with each other, but then they were forced apart. They promised to stay in touch, however this did not happen because Allies mom was hiding the notes that Noah wrote. She didn’t read nor destroy them she just kept them away from Allie. After awhile Noah starts to see a ghost of his beloved Allie and just can’t get her out of his head, so he enters the war. Where he comes back to an old farmhouse which he wants to restore. Then Allie reads about him in the newspaper, deciding she wants to go back after around 14 years and see him. This time she is a new woman, she is an engaged woman to a man named Lon Hammond. After spending a few incredible days with Noah, she realizes that she still has deep feelings for him. Allie has a tough choice between a hardworking lawyer or a handsome poet, she doesn’t want to hurt either of them, but there is no any other way but saying goodbye to one of them. Noah says to Allie he knows that loving someone sometimes means letting them go. Those love letters that were sent from Noah, touched Allies heart and play a big role in this book.

This book is an amazing story that will show you how love really is. Nicholas Sparks is an astonishing writer who knows how to get his readers interested. This book started out slow but then there was a turning point and before I knew it the book was over. This book is a love story that will get your emotions running. The definition of love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person, and that’s what this story tells us, the true definition of love. The Author writes this story as a flashback which is when the author talks about something that already happened. I recommend this book to mostly girls that like a breathe taken romantic story that might get the waterworks starting. I loved everything about this book the setting, the characters, the plot and the unfolding storyline. This was a wonderful book and I would love to read it again and watch the movie also.
