In the beginning of the book, Inheritance, Saphira and Eragon have one task. Defeat Galbatorix. Together they and the Varden, the rebel alliance protesting Galbatorix, march across the empire, destroying villages and cities as they go. Murtagh and his dragon Thorn continue their surprise attacks, but the Varden manage to drive them away every time. During their march, many other problems present themselves and are put aside for they have but one task, to take down the Mad King. But even with all the help of the Varden and the Elves, the task of defeating Galbatorix is left to Saphira and Eragon, and together they face the King.

The Inheritance book is the 4th and last book of the Eragon series, and I think it tops the story off perfectly. I loved this book. Although, it did leave me with a sad, stunned feeling, it couldn’t have ended in a better way. I recommend Inheritance for people who aren’t afraid to get attached to the characters in the book, and for people who like fiction novels full of action and drama.
