Breaking_Dawn_Cover_by_TranquilitySurreilBefore you get all hyped up and are about to spend X amount of dollars on the fourth book of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga – don’t.  Eclipse, the third book of the saga, was seriously addictive, and I found myself not being able to put the book down for an hour.  Breaking Dawn, however, does not live up to its expectations, (for me, at least).

Breaking Dawn starts off with Bella anxious and anticipating being wed to Edward, and making the change from human to vampire, but still having thoughts of regret and thinking about Jacob – who wasn’t too thrilled that she was going to marry one of his enemies.  Bella and Edward proceed with the wedding, and go on a romantic honeymoon on a private island.  This is where the book starts to just get freaky, literally.  The book gets somewhat inappropriate and graphic towards this part of the story.  Edward’s life already had seemed absorbed with Bella, but once Bella’s hormones are flowing – he’s not going to tell her “No”, if you know what I mean… The theory is that once turned vampire, all bodily fluids leave the body, like blood cells and such – but I guess not all bodily fluids…

I wasn’t really into Breaking Dawn as much as Eclipse, as I’ve already said.  If being a vampire/human romance novel wasn’t enough – it gets even freakier.  It was just plain out ridiculous what happens following the honeymoon, which ends up being cut short.  If you’re really into the series, continue reading & finish the saga.  It took me forever to finish it because it eventually just lost my interest.  I wish I could continue on with what happens in the story, but you’ll just have to find out for yourself.
