Alex Rider is finally on vacation in the south of France and away from MI6. It was perfect his life had finally gotten back to normal but all that is about to change. While lying on a beach he sees his worst enemy, Yessen Gregorovich, and immediately Alex knows something is about to happen and something does; the house he’s staying blows up and he is the only one who knows it wasn’t a accident. After nearly getting killed trying to find out what Yassen was up to he goes back home on a lead that Damian Cray is a madman bent on something terrible but no one will believe Alex because this man is the world’s saint; he has met the queen, he is friends with presidents and prime ministers, he is a good singer and has given millions to charity. Now Alex now to his own regret needs MI6 but they don’t believe him. So Alex is on his own to stop one the world’s most popular and powerful man.

Eagle Strike is an exciting, action, thriller that locks you in once you start reading. The book has action from beginning to end. Alex Rider is James Bond when he was fourteen. Anthony Horowitz has his best work in writing this book and there is a series so the action doesn’t stop here. I recommend this book or series for people who like spy movies with gadgets, mystery, suspense, twists, turns and action.
