Fifteen-year-old Colie is not the most popular girl in the school or schools. First of all she was fat then she kept moving from town to town because her mom (who was also fat) couldn’t keep a job and loved to travel. Just being fat got Colie a reputation. She came to school, got called all kinds of fat names, went home ate more junk food and the process started all over again the next day. That was all before her mom became FlyKiki.

After losing the weight Colie feels like she’s missing something but her reputation doesn’t change. She’s always going to be the fat girls at school no matter how skinny she becomes. Her mother became FlyKiki when she started eating all healthy foods and lost a ton of weight. While she was losing all this weight Colie lost a bunch right along with her. Now her mom is a famous person that everyone knows because she’s on T.V., has written her own books on how to lose weight,  and has her own technology to go along with the program.

When her mother goes on one of her famous tours, Colie is sent to live with her mother’s sister (who is also fat.) At first she thinks that this is the worst time of her life until she meets Morgan and Isabelle. Over time they become friends and Colie starts to enjoy herself. She also meets Norman who happens to live in the basement of the house she is staying at which really creeps her out. What she doesn’t know is that Norman has fallen for her and she is totally unaware of it. When Isabelle points this out she denies it. Then on the forth of July she meets a boy by the name of Josh. He’s tall brown haired and really cute. He’s the kind of guy she has always wanted and now she finally has the chance. But what about Norman?

This book is full of things that will never cease to amaze you. Its sort of crazy and out of place. First you like it then you don’t and at the same time you can’t stop reading it. Those who like Sarah Dessen books will enjoy this one also. At times you feel embarrassed for the characters because you know their acting so dumb and they don’t even realize it but over all it a good book.
