“A long hot summer”

That was what seventeen year old Macy queen was about to experience…

Macy has always been a perfect student, and pretty much an all around perfectionist.    Although when asked about how she was coping with her father’s death her answer was always “fine” but that answer was completely untrue.   She tries to ignore the sadness and depression from her dads death by keeping her schedule filled.   Macy’s boyfriend, Jason, was headed to brain camp for the summer.   Macy felt so lost without him…but Macy spent her time working at her crappy job at the library and studying for the SATs.     About 50 or 100 pages through she meets people who were about to change her life forever, and Macy didn’t even know it.   Macy found herself ditching that boring library job and getting a job with her new friends, The Wish Catering Crew.   That’s when she meets “sa-woon” worthy Wes,  he’s artistic,  deep ,  laid back, and everything Macy isn’t,  Will Macy finally face her feelings about her father? Will she have some chemistry with Wes…?

The Truth about Forever touches your heart and is a very powerful read.   It has grief, fear, and love.   Underneath the whole story line, Sarah Dessen makes a point that forever is always changing.

I love this book it’s one of my favorites.   It makes you laugh and cry and think about life in a whole different way.   I couldn’t help flipping page after page after page! I recommend this book to girls 12 and up!
