Katniss Everdeen is a tom-boy living in Panem, a nation that used to be known as North America. Panem is divided into twelve districts, all which have their own jobs. The Hunger Games is an event broadcasted on live television, where all twelve districts fight to the death. One boy and one girl are chosen randomly from each district, and when Katniss’ younger sister Prim is chosen, Katniss immediately volunteers.

The Hunger Games is a great read. I highly recommend this book to people who like action, because Suzanne Collins really makes you feel like you’re there watching the games take place. This book is very action-packed, exciting, and there is a little bit of romance mixed in giving this book exciting twists and five out of five stars.
