The mark is a glow around certain people reminiscent of candlelight but never fading, never leaving, always lingering, but never securing
warmth.

Its glow doesn’t obscure its true, valid meaning, many of which people are too scared to accept, many of which people wish not to accept, thus, cowering people down to their knees.

“…Death is always hard…” especially when you see it coming. What do you do when the last day of their life resides in your hands, in your simple but complex
decision, whether or not you should tell them, tell them that their time has been cut to its last final strand?

Cassandra Renfield has always seen the mark and its meaning she gets, but now what? What should she do with the knowing? How should she use it? Is it her
destiny to change fate by means of making that simple but complex decision? What would come from making that simple but complex decision, would it be for the better or for the worse? Or should fate be left alone, never to be meddle with?

Join Cassie on her exploration of  her gift or curse, seeking those who bear the mark of imminent death and cross that line between what’s meant to happen but
what really happens instead and  what the consequences are if you meddle with fate…

With great description, Jen Nadol takes you through every thought, every feeling, every emotion, every single little detail with her main character, drawing you in and holding you captive, until the very last word…

For those who love realistic fiction, a dash of suspense, a pinch of romance and a sprinkle of  a life of a close to “normal” teen, this book is for you!
