“Conor Broekhart was born to fly. Or, more accurately, he was born flying.”

The child of Catherine and Declan Broekhart was born on a crashing hot air balloon. Perhaps this is what led him to become such a great aeronaut. After saving Princess Isabella from an exploding castle, Conor becomes a “sir” and thinks he has it made. Years later, while trying to save the king the tables are turned and Conor goes to prison. He finds out that a Battering ram has been paid to beat him up and that he has to dangerously extract diamonds. He is punched into blackness on his first day. His cellmate, a blind man named Linus Wynter, tells him how to survive the prison. So Conor Broekhart creates a new man named Conor Finn and puts all of his old memories aside in order to survive and hopefully escape the prison.

I wanted to read this book because the author, Eoin Colfer, wrote many other great books like the Artemis Fowl series and The Supernaturalist. This book’s moral is that with patience, all things are possible. Also, it shows that with a little positive mental attitude, you can overcome great obstacles. I recommend this book to people who like flying or just want to read a great adventure.
