Isabella Swan is used to the sunny, warm weather of Phoenix, Arizona. When she moves to Forks, Washington, where it rains almost every day, she doesn’t know how she’ll possibly get along. Her father, Charlie, tries to help her get used to such a different environment, but she just can’t seem to adjust, at least not until she meets Edward. Edward Cullen is stunningly good-looking and extremely mysterious. At first, he acts like he wants nothing to do with Bella. It’s almost as if he hates her, though they’ve never even talked. But then Edward does something amazing, almost inhuman. He saved Bella’s life, and he seemed to come out of nowhere when he did it.

Bella becomes suspicious of Edward because of this. Why would he save her life if he hated her? She decides to find out. Once she finally talks to him, he opens up to her. Edward is a vampire. Bella and Edward become friends, and eventually fall in love. Their relationship doesn’t seem possible, but they do everything they can to make it work. Edward loves Bella so much, and this gives him a motive to keep her alive. Although it’s hard on both of them, they seem to be getting along well. But one night, Bella, Edward, and his family run into another clan of vampires. The other vampires sense that Bella isn’t one of them, and the trouble begins.

Stephenie Meyer has a great style of writing. This book was very well written, and it’s hard to put it down. The plot is original, and it’s very easy to connect with the characters. Twilight is full of suspense, adventure, and romance. Anybody would enjoy this book, and I definitely would suggest it to anyone who enjoys reading.
