Aron Ralston, an adventurous college graduate, is a dedicated outdoorsman and loves to travel. Traveling from state to state to climb different mountains, Aron has experienced it all. Avalanches, cliffhangers, and extreme desert heat are on a daily basis for Aron. Aron carried on his passion for the outdoors because of his families same, shared love for nature. His experience at the Grand Canyon when he was younger was all he needed to jumpstart his career in mountain climbing.

A trip to Utah brought Aron to the canyon lands to explore the slot canyons and the desert. Aron found himself intrigued and in his element when hiking in the slot canyons when all of a sudden a boulder broke loose trapping him and leaving his arm pinned against a stonewall by a boulder heavier than him. How will he escape? Will Aron live?

Between A Rock And A Hard Place was a great book that portrays the story of survival and will power to handle what most people can’t. The author does a great job of keeping the book very fluid without it reminiscing too much. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I expected and often found myself not wanting to put it down. I’m sure if you read this book you’ll feel the same way. I really enjoyed this book a lot and would recommend this book to anyone who likes action or adventure. This book really makes you think of what we consider tough situations a joke.
