Imagine walking down town one seemingly normal Los Angeles morning on your way to work and seeing yourself standing across the street, realizing that you were in a body that you have never seen before.  Though it seems to be just a strange thought, it is reality for Collin Boyd… Well, the man that used to be Collin Boyd. Grant Borrows is his new name and he finds that the life of excitement that comes with it, is drastically different from his old life in solitude. Now he is on the run from professional killers that want him dead, not knowing who he can trust or where to go. So many unanswered questions have formed: Why him? How did this happen? Can he get his life back?

Everything seems so chaotic now, curve balls being thrown at him constantly.  Strange events seem to continuously occur, but he has no time to process them or think them through; all his energy is focused on staying alive. Fortunately, along with this unfamiliar body came unknown instincts and abilities he will have to learn to control, causing him to be depended upon by more people than he could imagine.  Through this and the people Grant meets along his journey, he will soon discover that maybe what seemed to be a series of random incidences that envelope his life, are actually a bit too controlled for comfort.

Relentless will draw you in from the very first page, captivating you, taking your on its complex thrill-ride, until the very end. The author, Robin Parish tells the tales of different, seemingly unrelated characters, then weaves them together in a creative and exciting way. This book and the stories it contains are a bit complicated and potentially confusing, with their many underlying plots and concepts, so it is a tougher read. I would recommend this novel to someone who wants a story that really makes them think and who isn’t afraid of committing to a longer book and series. Reading it is well worth it though, plus once you begin there is no turning back. It may honestly change the way you look at life due to the many powerful concepts such as staying true to who you are, facing your problems, and the theme common throughout the book:  “Never surrender to anger or despair, no matter what. Never give up; never give in.”  Bits of bitter betrayal, revenge, and love are also thrown into the mix to make a gripping concoction that will hold you at the edge of your seat.
