Cassie Morgan only wants one thing this summer, to get over her heartbreak of her ex, Mr. popular, Daniel Fletcher. She decided the best way to do so is to spend the summer with her two best friends, Greta and Keagan, in beautiful, sunny Hollywood. When she gets there, she discovers her best friends have just gotten over a heartbreak of their own. They decide then to make a pact to all date the way the guys they dated date, no commitments, flirt constantly, and do not ever get attached. They also make a pact to make this summer together, a ten boy summer. Kiss ten boys before summer comes to an end. Sounds simple enough? At first to Cassie it might, until she meets Trey Carter.

 Cassie, Keagan, and Greta are at the party of the night. They are enjoying the music, friends, and exploring for the boys for their “ten boy summer” for possibility list. As Cassie is searching, she is approached by Trey Carter. Trey Carter, is the “it” boy, everyone wants him and he knows it. But for once, he might want the girl instead, and he might even stop playing his games to get her. Cassie is warned by Greta to stay away from him and his games. But eventually she gives into his consistently of devoting his day to prove to her he’s with her time. As days go on, Trey and Cassie become closer and closer and she draws further and further from her pact with her friends of a “ten boy summer”. In the end will Cassie choose Trey over her friends? Why is Greta so against Cassie and Trey being together? Will Cassie make it to the end of summer without heartbreak or without her friends?

Boy Crazy is a quick read that you’ll fall in love with. The book is addictive and has many scenarios any teenage girl could put themselves in. It’s all about summer love, trusting yourself, your friends and happiness. Boy Crazy teaches you that sometimes for your friends, you have to leave some things behind, no matter how important they might be.
