Harry Potter, a 17 year old wizard, is faced with numerous difficult, nearly impossible, challenges in the final book in a seven-book “Potter” series. He starts out, like every book in the series, at his aunt and uncle’s house and almost immediately is thrown into the action. After an encounter with a group of Death Eaters, Harry, along with his two best friends Ron and Hermione, starts on his quest that Dumbledore left him, to finish finding and destroying Lord Voldemort’s remaining horcruxes. Harry, who is definitely darker and more solemn than ever before, has difficulty deciding whether to follow Dumbledore’s instructions, or go after three of the most powerful magic items, called the hallows, all while balancing his friendships. is an outstanding book full of suspense, action, plot twists and bloodshed with an ending that ties all loose ends. Several large, epic battles make this book the most action packed book in the series. Rowling’s does an amazing job at describing Harry’s journey and all the emotions he has to deal with on the way, while including realistic dialogue and tells the story in a way that you fell as if you are besides Harry the entire time. She even includes an epilogue that clearly depicts the future of the remaining characters.

This 759 page book is a must read for anyone who enjoys fantasy, or who has been following the series from the start. I recommend this tale of good vs. evil to everyone, but I also recommended reading the previous six books to get a sense of knowledge about the characters. As soon as you pick it up, you are sucked in and you cannot stop reading until you know the fate of the “wizarding world”.
