Nina, Mel and Avery have been friends since they were six.  They have been inseparable, and they tell each other everything. But for the first time they are being separated for the summer.  Nina is going to a summer program at Stanford in California. And Mel and Avery are staying behind and working at a horrible restaurant, P. J. Mortimiers.  In California, Nina falls head over heels for this guy Steve. But the only problem is that they live on totally different sides of the country.                                                   

Back home, Mel and Avery are working. And after a party, Mel and is drunk and Avery takes back to her house. But the next morning, Avery was thinking and Mel and Avery experience something that has never happened before. But when Nina returns home from Stanford, she knows something’s up, but Mel and Avery aren’t saying anything. So when a Girls’ day out becomes a little more than friendly, Nina finds out what Mel and Avery have been hiding from her.  Nina is supposed to be focused on student council but with all of what’s going on she is extremely stressed. And her boyfriend hardly answers her phone calls, e-mails, and instant messages. But when he finally does she finds out shocking news.
